Tullips

From mid-March to mid-May, part of the Netherlands turns into one big sea of flowers. It starts in March with the crocus season. Then the daffodils and hyacinths emerge. Finally, the tulips show their amazing colors, approximately from the middle of April until the first week of May.

Fields full of beautiful colors

Thanks to the long springs with cool nights, the Netherlands is extremely suitable for growing tulips. The soil in the polders is constantly drained. This creates ideal conditions for the tulip bulbs, which like well-draining but moist soil.

From mid-March to the end of May, the tulips transform large parts of the Netherlands into a colorful patchwork quilt. So if you go to the Netherlands in April to see the tulips bloom, you will see fields full of beautiful colors everywhere you look.
